BAND PROGRAM
For the eighth year PPARTS has collaborated in sharing a band leader. We are glad to announce that Elyse Angelo was hired by Christ the King and St. Charles Borremeo school to be on their staff to continue the great work she has done for the past three years. Redeemer Lutheran Jr./Sr. High School will also share in the cost as they build their program for the second year.
Jimmy Neighbors will take up where Elyse left off. Jimmy was the assistant last year and proved himself as a very competent musician and teacher. He will lead St. Eugene's Catholic, Trinity School, and Messiah Lutheran. You can look forward to hearing more about his program throughout the year and see them perform at this years annual Arts Festival.

Each of these schools has participated in a strategic planning session and have taken inventory of current band program needs. They have agreed to a three year growth plan that includes the increased investment in musical instruments and adding to their music library. Some of the schools are looking at ways to improve the classroom space available for their program.
These small schools find it virtually impossible to find funds to employee their own staff even though the administrators are working with their boards of directors to look for ways to increase their general operating budget for arts, and are willing to incrementally build towards growth through means of student fees, seeking outside funds and fund-raisers.
